"High design in the heart of Prospect Heights" is the tagline for a new 75-unit, 4-story rental that has arrived in Brooklyn. Located at 313 St. Marks Avenue and just blocks away from Prospect Park, the façade is crafted using zinc panels and the residence has been aptly named The Brooklyn Zinc. It was reported the rentals would debut in April and though a couple of months behind schedule, leasing has officially launched and 1-year leases offer a 13th month free.

Apartments come with up to three bedrooms and are priced starting from $2,225/month for studios, $3,150/month for 1 bedrooms, $3,675/month for 2 bedrooms and $4,850/month for 3 bedrooms. Interiors are revealed on the official website and inside, apartments are loft inspired and bright, and amenities are plentiful. Homes have high ceilings, wide plank oak floors, casement windows and open kitchens - and to enhance the loft-like vibe are wood beams integrated throughout with bespoke lighting fixtures by Restoration Hardware. There are also in-unit washers/dryers, multi-zoned climate control and on some apartments, balconies or private terraces.

The amenity package includes a fitness center, screening room, lounge and pet spa, and outdoor space includes a courtyard and a landscaped rooftop terrace. There is also a virtual doorman, bike storage and onsite parking.

The team behind the project includes developer Industrie Capital Partners, S3 Architecture which designed the zinc façade, and interiors are from Durukan Design. Halstead Property is leading marketing and leasing. Building critic Carter Horsley has given the property a favorable review and notes that is looks "somewhat like a battleship-gray galleon without masts," and the full review can be read here.
