The city's tallest building north of 72nd Street has fully risen and the sky did not fall down. Simply addressed as 180 East 88th Street, the 524-foot-tall structure will deliver 48 expansive condos brandishing oval-shaped entry galleries, ceilings up to 14 feet high, and 9-foot-tall windows to the heart of the Upper East Side.

The project is being steered by Joe McMillan's DDG. Its still-in-progress masonry exterior is to pay tribute to the city's legacy of masonry construction. Other artful flourishes include a tapering glinted crown and soaring arches wrapping three separate intervals of the tower.

Current availabilities show 7 low- to mid-floor condos are on the market ranging from a fourth-floor studio priced at $1.295M on upwards to an airy 22nd-floor four-bedroom asking $6.725M. Other available spreads include a fifth-floor 1,730 square foot two-bedroom priced at $3.525 million and a pair of three-bedrooms priced at $4.885M and $5.585M apiece.

At least eight condos are already in-contract including a 38th floor three-bedroom that was last listed for $12.75 million. Another sign of strong interest is that the building's last duplex apartment, listed last June for $15 million, is no longer on the market. Find floor plans of all available homes below.

The amenities are mostly spread across six contiguous lower floors. Bells and whistles to pamper residents include a full-time doorman and concierge, a fitness studio, a double-height basketball court and soccer pitch, a residents lounge with catering kitchen, and a children's playroom. There is also a wine room, where bottles can be stored. And last, for you environmentally considerate buyers, the project will seek LEED certification. Occupancy is anticipated for spring 2019.

A blustery January visit to the construction site showed crews adding the final pieces to its concrete-enclosed rooftop bulkhead. The 32-story tower has yet to be fully covered in its mute-toned facade of hand-laid Kolumba brick that are to be accented by bronze-colored window frames. With much of the lower floors dedicated to amenities and mechanicals, a bulk of the tower's condos will have far-flung views across the Upper East Side towards Central Park and the city skyline.
