Rental Building News and Offers
Get ready, Upper East Siders. Target is coming to the neighborhood.
TF Cornerstone and Target have announced the neighborhood's first outpost for the massive chain retailer will soon occupy the retail space at luxury rental The Fairfax at 201 East 69th Street, between Second Avenue and Third Avenue. Designed to accommodate the needs of local shoppers, the small-format, 22,600-square-foot store will have a rich beauty selection and several convenient food options. The opening date is estimated for 2019.

The Fairfax, a conversion of former FBI headquarters to luxury rentals, also offers several amenities for residents like a gym and roof deck, and the new Target will be an unofficial perk to both the building and the surrounding Lenox Hill neighborhood. This new location is one of several small-format Target stores coming to Manhattan. Additional outposts are opening in EVGB, The Rollins in Essex Crossing, and 615 Tenth Avenue.
Current rental listings at The Fairfax include studios from $2,990/month, one-bedrooms from $3,940/month, and three-bedrooms from $7,150/month. All 315 apartments in the 16-story building feature sound-resistant windows, excellent storage space, and recently renovated kitchens and baths. The official amenities include a roof deck, fitness center, concierge, children’s playroom, laundry room, and parking garage.
“The new Target will be a valuable resource for not only residents of The Fairfax, but the entire Upper East Side community” – Steve N. Gonzalez, Director of Retail Leasing, TF Cornerstone
