Last winter, the block-long Hell's Kitchen condo development under construction at 500 West 45th Street topped out its modest seven-floor concrete frame. Now the project, rebranded as Bloom on Forty Fifth (formerly Hudson Garden) is getting a crisp white facade punctuated by large windows. Under the helm of Xin Development Group International with development manager Kuafu Properties, the development is to provide intelligently-designed residences paired with a thoughtfully curated collection of amenities. According to the marketing campaign, the project seeks to create "the ideal atmosphere for people with active social and professional lives."

An accepted offering plan for Bloom on Forty Fifth lists a sellout price of $165.33 million, and Xin Development had once hoped to attract middle-class buyers with listings priced around $2,000 per square foot. A look at the neighborhood shows how feasible that goal may be: Just up the block, closings at Inkwell averaged $1,582 per square foot. In the opposite direction, listings at Charlie West range from $8366K for a studio to $4.59 million for a three-bedroom penthouse.
