North Williamsburg's latest high-end rental building has been christened The Park Ilona. The handsome 54-unit building gracefully hugs the southwest corner of McCarren Park at 150 North 12th Street. Its first listings came online earlier this month with studio apartments starting at $2,291/month, one-bedrooms from $3,254/month, and three-bedrooms from $6,416/month. The leasing team, led by MNS, is offering a limited time special offer of two months free on 24-month leases for select units.
According to our listings, the median rent for a one-bedroom in Williamsburg is $3,000/month and two bedrooms come in at $3,100/month. See all our Williamsburg rental listings here.
Designed by Michael Muroff, the seven-floor building channels the grandeur of the Art Deco style and Brooklyn's industrial past. The buildings most notable aspects are its curved corner and fluctuating roofline highlighted by beautiful brick detailing. The exterior is composed of red brick, multi-pane casement windows, and black metal accents.
Unlike the facade, interiors are contemporary and subdued. All units feature ebony oak flooring, kitchens with custom cabinetry and quartz countertops, and baths with subway-and penny-tiled walls. Most layouts offer views of McCarren Park and some have a private outdoor space in the form of a Juliette balcony or terrace.
An amplified set of units called the Penthouse Collection offers ten-foot-high ceilings, nine-foot-high doors and private terraces with park views. There will also be several townhouse-style units that feature their own private entrances and backyards.
Shared by all units are an attended lobby with package room, bike room, private storage spaces, fitness center with yoga studio, resident lounge with wet bar and morning coffee, private rooftop cabanas, and underground garage parking. Verizon Fios with free wifi is provided throughout the common areas.
McCarren Park serves as the building's front yard and offers summer movie screenings, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, a running track, bocce courts, handball courts, a children's playground, a skate park, and of course, the McCarren Park Pool. Nightlife and dining options abound and The William Vale, Wythe, and Williamsburg hotels are nearby. The building is within walking distance to the waterfront and the G train station at Nassau Street is a few blocks north in Greenpoint.
