The team behind 420 Kent, a rental complex at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge, has unveiled new interior images for the 857-unit at 420 Kent Avenue. Spitzer Enterprises is the developer behind the three-tower complex, designed by ODA New York in the architecture firm’s signature, staggered-block style. Three 22-story, 253-foot-tall towers face a new waterfront promenade that connects the vibrant, funky South Williamsburg to the East River waterfront. The first tower 416 Kent launched rentals in January, and is now fully leased. This summer, CityRealty presented a virtual tour of the development’s bespoke amenities; now, we peer into the glass-walled rentals within the two-tower encore.
Citi Habitats, which handles 420 Kent’s leasing and marketing, reports that current prices start at $2,550/month for studios, $3,495/month for 1 bedrooms and $5,399/month for 2 bedrooms.

The buildings’ form not only creates an iconic skyline presence on the Williamsburg waterfront, but also maximizes sunlight and views within the apartments. The staggered-cube form allows for many more corner units per floor than in a standard rectangular building, a feature further amplified with lofty ceiling heights and open plan layouts.

Residences are furnished with smokey oak natural wood floors. Kitchens feature polished concrete Caesarstone countertops, custom Italian Nero kitchen cabinetry, polished chrome fixtures by Kohler, Bertazzoni gas ranges, and appliances by Bosch, which include refrigerators, dishwashers, and in-unit washer/dryers. The bathrooms are clad in large format concrete tile on floors and porcelain linear white matte tile on walls, and include custom vanities, polished chrome fixtures, and Italian cabinetry with built-in illumination.

The building’s amenity package includes services such as concierge-serviced package delivery, dry cleaning, laundry, apartment cleaning, dog walkers, and on-site “lifestyle directors.” Artist Bill Barrett’s “Rendezevous II” abstract bronze sculpture greets residents in the lobby, which adjoins a coffee bar and co-working zone. An adjacent “tranquility garden” leads the visitor along winding stone walkways to a library and quiet lounge, while livelier entertainment may be found in gaming and media lounges, dining and event spaces, and resident bar. The wellness center combines 12,000 square feet of fitness facilities with a spa, workout studios, rooftop pool, and an outdoor yoga and “techno gym.” The upper deck overlooks the river, the bridge, and the Manhattan skyline, which will make a spectacular setting for next year’s Fourth of July fireworks display whether Macy’s opts to hold the festivities by Downtown Brooklyn or Long Island City.

420 Kent introduces a brand-new, 383-foot waterfront promenade that extends the Shaefer Landing esplanade toward the Williamsburg Bridge, where a series of further river-facing public spaces are in progress by the Domino Factory project and further in Greenpoint, a verdant string that will eventually connect to Long Island City in Queens. 420 Kent offers a broad range of commute options, such as the nearby J, M and Z lines, abundant bike lanes, and the South Williamsburg station of the NYC Ferry, located right on the waterfront outside the building.
