100th-floor ballroom that will be the highest in the world 100th-floor ballroom that will be the highest in the world
Central Park Tower has collected superlatives seemingly from the time it was on the drawing board - tallest residential building in the world, highest rooftop in New York CIty, and soon, the world’s highest private residential club and ballroom. Developer Extell has hinted at the 100th-floor Central Park Club from the get-go, and now the team provides us with the first look inside.
Central Park Club will be elevated more 1,000 feet above Manhattan and measures over 50,000 square feet of floor area. The exclusive private club will include a ballroom, cigar lounge, wine lounge, dining room, bar, and a full-service kitchen. While the building is conveniently situated near some of New York’s top restaurants, cultural centers, and nightlife, no existing examples provide the breadth of Central Park and skyline views as to be enjoyed here.

Central Park Club’s interiors, as well as the tower's apartments, were designed by Rottet Studio, an award-winning design firm known for their work on both luxury hotels. While the names of Michelin-starred chef and the lifestyle expert selected to work with the building are being kept under wraps, the development team tells us they are names we already know.
Central Park Club is perched several hundred feet above the supertall’s other, equally luxurious amenities. On the 14th floor, an outdoor pool terrace houses a sun deck with cabanas and poolside food and beverage service. Indoor amenities on this floor include a screening room, lounge, and children’s playroom. Two stories up, a full floor of wellness amenities is home to a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor pool, and spa offering restorative treatments.

All amenities are exclusive to residents of the 179 apartments, which start on the 32nd floor to make the most of sweeping skyline, river, and Central Park views. Prices range from $6.7 million for a two-bedroom to $18 million for a three-bedroom to $63.75 million for a five-bedroom simplex. Closings are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2020.
The news comes on the heels of a busy fall for Central Park Tower. Construction topped out in September, and the gleaming facade designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture is getting closer to completion every day. Meanwhile, New York’s first Nordstrom flagship opened in the building's first seven stories last October.
