While the offering plan listed a $31,900,000 asking price for this particular unit, it entered contract with a $29,000,000 ask in December 2021. The buyer was identified only as a domestic purchaser seeking a New York pied-a-terre (h/t The Wall Street Journal) and conducted the transaction under an LLC.
The second-highest sale wasn't far behind in terms of distance or price: At the Robert A.M. Stern-designed 15 Central Park West, a three-bedroom condo closed for $22,375,000, or 10.5% less than its $25,000,000 ask. The sellers were listed as an LLC, but the buyer is listed as Eric Schwartz, CEO of private investment firm 76 West Holdings.
