While much of Astoria’s new development has been devoted to the new condominiums that have taken neighboring Long Island City by storm, there is another, highly attractive way to buy in the area. The four-building Astoria Lights cooperative dates back to 1929, but has been updated to meet the needs and wishes of the contemporary buyer. Six months after the sales launch, 70 percent of units have already sold.

Whatever size apartment Astoria Lights residents live in, they have access to a new amenity suite that could give certain area condos a run for their money. Indoor amenities include a lounge, co-working area, fitness center, children’s playroom, pet grooming area, package room, bike room, and central laundry room.
