When New York City went on lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the High Line was one of many popular attractions that closed. Now with the city and state's number of cases substantially down, the elevated park is set to reopen on July 16, with a free timed-entry reservation system in place starting July 9. Masks will be required, and visitors may only enter at Gansevoort Street. It will be open from Gansevoort Street to 23rd Street, and all access points in between will be exit-only.
The reopening of the High Line will once again allow visitors to be impressed by the architecturally adventurous buildings that have sprung up alongside it in the past decade. The latest standout, named The Emerson, is a ground-up eight-unit condo located at the corner of the West 25th Street and Tenth Avenue, just outside of the soon-to-reopen section of the High Line.

Yesterday, Fredrik Eklund, star of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York, conducted a live Instagram unveiling from his home in Bel Air with his business partner John Gomes who was on-site at The Emerson. Gomes guided viewers through the building's model unit, its Alabama limestone lobby, and its gorgeous penthouse. While there were a few technical hiccups, the social media format allowed potential buyers to submit questions and see rooms and views upon request.
