The last time we checked in on ODA's Charlie West, the dual-towered development had just launched sales on it's Andres Escobar-designed residences. In total, the buildings offer 123 condos, 34 of which came on the market. Out of those, 20 have now entered contract, leaving 14 up for grabs. Studios are currently starting at $910K, one-bedrooms at $1.22M, two-bedrooms at $1.835M, and three-bedrooms at $3.01M. The priciest listing is unit PHB, a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home asking $4.845M.

Aside from its celebrated design teams, booming Hell's Kitchen location, and condo offerings in an area packed with rentals, much of the project's appeal has to do with its younger crowd-pleasing features: a large selection of affordable studios and one-bedrooms and fun amenity spaces – the Charlie West website reads, "We've replaced lobbies with lounges, conference rooms with a pool, added playrooms and outdoor spaces all as an extension of your home."

Other hotel-grade amenities include a fully equipped fitness center that opens to outdoor spaces and the building's impressive 6,000-square-foot center courtyard, and an innovative, translucent glass-enclosed bike storage box.
The project was announced in 2014 by co-developers the Elad Group and Mi&Co but was slow to start construction. A year ago, the site (located at 505 West 43rd Street) was empty, but recent photos now show the buildings have topped out at 16 stories. Despite the progress, we won't see Charlie West open until 2019.

As expected, interiors are modern and airy with 5" wide plank oak wood and floor-to-ceiling windows. The sleek Scavolini kitchens by Escobar Design feature wood and lacquered cabinets, white quartz counters, and backsplashes, and appliances by Bosch and Thermador. Other highlights of the homes include bathroom fixtures by Toto and a washer and dryer. Many are also complete with large terraces and balconies, providing decent skyline views.

Other developments nearby include the schoolhouse-to-condo conversion Inkwell, the luxury rental Oskar, and the forthcoming 615 Tenth Avenue, which will have a 29,000-square-foot Target at it's base. The flexible format store will open in 2019.
