The architects at ODA New York brought their signature style to Brooklyn with 251 1st Street; a newly-completed 11-story condo building featuring an "interactive" fragmented facade made up of recessed terraces. The distinctive structure is located on the corner of Fourth Avenue in the dog-loving, family-friendly neighborhood of Park Slope and is similar to ODA's other Brooklyn projects at 134 Vanderbilt Avenue and the Bushwick mega-rental at 10 Montieth Street. Unlike the latter, 251 First will offer just 44 residences - 29 of which have unique layouts - and amenities fit for the area, including a stroller valet and a pet grooming station.

To mark the building's completion, the firm released the video below by Miguel de Guzmán and Imagen Subliminal, giving us a closer look at the sense of community achieved through its innovative architecture.

Many of these units are under contract or sold, but the building does have two penthouse residences available for immediate occupancy: PH11B, a three-bedroom, three-bath unit for $2.75M and PH10B, a four-bedroom, three-bath unit for $2.9M.

Both penthouses feature a number of terraces boasting panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline to the Verrazano Bridge. Other apartment features include floor-to-ceiling glass windows with north and west exposures, 10'8" ceilings, and sleek kitchens each equipped with an Anegre wood island, custom-built satin lacquer cabinetry, and stainless steel cabinets below that blend seamlessly with its Gaggenau appliances. The premium finishes continue in the master bathrooms which feature White Sivec marble floors, fixtures by Watermark, and double sink vanities with storage.

251 1st Street delivers on amenities too. The building offers a lobby lounge, library, a part-time doorman and virtual concierge, two courtyards, and a landscaped rooftop with a lounge and two dining areas. In addition to the stroller valet and pet grooming station, the lower level of amenities features some expected amenities like a fitness and yoga room, children's playroom, lounge and party room with kitchen, and bike storage. Additional storage can also be purchased.
The building also boasts a stellar location. It's near the R, F, and G trains, as well as all the best restaurant, bar, and shopping destinations of Park Slope, including Whole Foods Market, Staples, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.
