This applies to apartments of all sizes - the median rent of an East Village studio now comes to $2,300/month (down 22% from last March), and the three-bed median rent is $4,518/month (down 28%). At the same time, local inventory is up 111% from last year - there are 359 listed availabilities in the East Village today, as opposed to the 170 available at this time last year. Part of this may be attributed to limited on-campus learning for New York University students, but they are likely to return in the coming academic year.
