From November 21-27, 2022, a total of 116 contracts were signed in Manhattan. Leading the charge was the landmarked mansion at 15 East 90th Street, which was asking $29,500,000. The nearly 100-year-old house is also known as Emily Trevor Mansion in honor of the socialite/philanthropist it was originally commissioned for, and is known to have hosted Andrew Carnegie while his own nearby mansion was being renovated.

Amidst an extensive renovation, the unidentified sellers took great pains to restore the original architecture by Mott Schmidt and ceiling murals based on the work of British architect Robert Adam. However, the infrastructure has been completely modernized. Additional features include five bedrooms, five and a half baths, multiple wood-burning fireplaces, two home gyms, a home sauna, and a south-facing private terrace on the top floor.
The top apartment contract and second-highest overall took place at the eye-catching XOCO 325, where the full-floor, four-bedroom Penthouse West entered contract with an $18,500,000 ask. Olshan Realty's market report notes that this shows a raise from the $17,500,000 price when the building began marketing off floor plans in 2016; since then, it has been completed and the Hudson Square area to the west has flourished.

Indeed, it was a good week for Soho condos: To the east, a five-bedroom loft at the New Museum Building entered contract with a $9,250,000 ask. The buyer and seller were not identified, but the building has counted rock star Jon Bon Jovi and hospitality impresario Andre Balazs among past residents.
