Extell’s first building in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Point, has opened its sales gallery designed by three-time AD100 interior design firm Katherine Newman Design (KND). Also KND’s first Brooklyn building, the firm created both the residential and amenity spaces with their signature highly customized and meticulously crafted environments.

NYC construction photo account posted numerous photos of Central Park Tower, the soon to be tallest residential building in the world. They report that the tower will have an 800-ton tuned mass damper installed on top to minimize swaying.

Oskar, the luxury rental residential building designed by CetraRuddy and developed by The Moinian Group, located at 572 11th Avenue, has not gotten a lot of traction on Instagram yet. But that didn’t stop them from posting a super cool photo of their rooftop deck rendering with a unique sloped green.
OPerA Studio Architecture, OPerA stands for "Operative Practice Architecture,” is a full service architecture and design firm located in Brooklyn, posted a cool GIF of their Prospect Heights townhouse. The five story building’s design is surrounded by an innovative continuous four foot wide circulation space. The gap between inner and outer walls contains a series of stairs and corridors that provide a continuous circulation spiral, light and air flow from the ground to the top floor.
An homage to our great New York City boy, Anthony Bourdain opened the culinary world like nobody before him and who we will miss tremendously. Bourdain did so much for food and New York City that Richard Florida writes, “The work of the acclaimed chef and writer, who has died at 61, provides a model for a truly inclusive urbanism based on the creativity of all human beings.” RIP.
