277 Fifth Avenue is approaching its early 2019 delivery and the condo project's team steered by Victor Group, Lendlease, and Corcoran has released images of a new model unit that embodies the high-ceilinged, sun-flooded spaces that typify the 130-unit offering.
Planted in the heart of NoMad at the corner of East 30th Street, the 55-floor tower rises as a sheer, corrugated column of glass and indigo-colored panels manufactured in Finland. Its streamlined design was shaped by Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, who punctuates the striped mass with four double-height, open-air loggias. While the skyscraper's 668-foot height makes it the tallest all-residential tower on Fifth Avenue, it unceremoniously culminates in a flat top, making for an unexceptional addition to the city skyline.

Honed by Jeffrey Beers, the residences inside range from one to four bedrooms and are airy, column-free and free-flowing. This is facilitated by a tube-in-tube structural design which moves columns to the perimeter allowing for more ideal and flexible layouts within. As seen in the model residence staged by Quadra, units have five-and-a-half-inch-wide white oak floors, solid walls for displaying art, and floor-to-ceiling windows framed in elegant black mullions. Ceiling heights average more than 10 feet high and soar more than 13 feet in the three penthouses.

Open kitchens feature Calacatta Saccheli marble slab center island, countertops, and backsplash. The bright stone is complemented with oak cabinetry and a customized suite of stainless-steel-finished Miele appliances. Each master bedroom hosts an en-suite bath clad in full-height San Nicola marble walls and heated Bianco Dolomiti marble flooring. Each is fitted with a Kohler Kathryn sink, a sculptural tub and Dornbracht LULU series faucets in a polished chrome finish.
The tower's efficient floorplate allows every unit to hold a corner and capture two exposures over Manhattan. High-floor views to the west include the Hudson River and Hudson Yards. To the south is a sweeping vista of downtown, to the east is the East River, and to the north are surreal views of Midtown with the Empire State and Chrysler buildings creating a quintessential urban composition.

277-Fifth-Avenue094 #14D is a two-bedroom listed for $3,115,000
Listings blend to an average of $2,700 per ft² with remaining one-bedrooms starting at $1.755M and two-bedrooms from $3.115M. There are currently no penthouses, three- or four-bedrooms on the market. The tower is the tallest in NoMad and usurps the 55-floor Sky House condo finished in 2008. Availabilities in that building average close to $1,700 a foot and closing prices have escalated nearly 30% since the building opened. 277 Fifth will be eclipsed by an even taller condo tower down the block —Madison House at 15 East 30th Street.
Residents of 277 Fifth will enter from 30th Street into a lobby of travertine, marble, granite, and oak. The building will have a full-time doorman and concierge, a fitness center, a double-height library, a children’s playroom, an entertaining suite with bar and kitchen and a communal terrace overlooking Fifth Avenue.
