In 2016, Slate Property Group and Adam America Real Estate bought a development site at 541-555 Fourth Avenue in Park Slope for north of $25 million. Nearly two years later, we’ve gotten a first look at the 12-story, 134-unit rental planned for the site. The townhouses formerly on the site have been demolished. At the construction site, a rendering by Aufgang Architects shows a brick building nearly twice as tall as its immediate neighbors. Permits indicate that amenities will include a bike room, on-site parking, storage, a gym, and a roof deck.

Meanwhile, a sister building is on the rise one block away at 535 Fourth Avenue. The 12-story, 148-unit building has experienced some setbacks – the time strong winds knocked down part of the roof comes to mind – but construction has reached the top floor. A rendering by Aufgang Architects shows a pale brick façade with darker brick on the top, set back floors on the top three levels, and large windows everywhere. Amenities will include a roof deck, outdoor garden, fitness center, lounge, 70 on-site parking places, and in-unit washer/dryers.
Prices are not yet available for either building, but CityRealty data shows that the median rent for Park Slope is $2,814/month. More listings can be found here.
