Samuel Wieder Associates gave us our first peek of a new four-story commercial building planned for 84 14th Street in Gowanus. The 8,000 square-foot parcel between Second and Third avenues is near a viaduct for the BQE / Gowanus Expressway, and is strictly zoned for manufacturing uses. The ground-up development will encompass 16,073 square feet of floor area and will feature a 25-car parking garage on the ground floor and three levels of offices above. Per the recently posted rendering, the façade will be distinguished by alternating rows of brown and white panels that stagger from floor to floor. The fourth floor is setback, providing a terrace.
