A new affordable housing lottery (PDF) has just launched at Criterion Group's 11-39 49th Avenue in Hunters Point, offering 59 units to individuals and families earning 130 percent of the area median income – between $71,932 and $157,300 per year.

Rents range from $2,098/month for a studio all the way up to $3,131/month for a three-bedroom apartment. Most of the inventory consists of one-bedroom apartments, which are going for $2,251/month.

Qualifying New Yorkers have until June 25, 2018 to apply via NYC Housing Connect for the new affordable units. Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
Income breakdown
Along with easy access to Manhattan with the 7 train (under 500 feet) and the G/E/M trains nearby, 11-39 49th Avenue will offer residents some other perks, including a package room, bike storage, card-operated laundry rooms (on floors 2-11), a fitness center, rooftop, and lounge. As expected, additional fees apply for many of the amenities.

Photos of the construction site taken earlier this month show a topped out 12-story building receiving finishing touches on its woven mesh facade, designed by Aufgang Architects. In total, there will be 194 apartments. A teaser site for the rental shows it is called "Hunters Landing" and will be debuting in late spring.
