Renderings of the new 20-story condominium known as Celeste Gramercy have shown an eye-catching facade, and a recent visit reveals just how true to life those renderings were: Construction netting is coming down to reveal a limestone facade with oversized glass windows designed by ODA New York. As the building gears up for opening, sales are underway on the 51 units within.
Current availabilities range from a sixth-floor two-bedroom listed for $1.795 million to a three-bedroom penthouse with a private balcony off the master suite and a private roof terrace for $8.15 million. At an average price of $2,012 per square foot, Celeste Gramercy is well above the neighborhood average of $1,820 per square foot (per CityRealty data).

Several of the homes feature expansive walkout terraces, and all residences have 6” plank walnut floors, ceiling heights reaching up to 10’6” and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Kitchens have white lacquer finish custom cabinets with stainless steel fixtures, Danby marble countertops and backsplash, and Gaggenau appliances including a wine cooler. Master and secondary bathrooms have features like custom vanities with marble countertops and walls. Full-floor penthouses are reached by keyed elevator and feature a fireplace and abundant private outdoor space.
Celeste Gramercy’s amenities include a minimalist 24-hour attended lobby, lounge, children’s playroom and fitness center. There is a terrace sun deck with an outdoor pool, and the building’s rooftop sun deck has expansive city views. Its most highly coveted feature, however, may be its address on the cusp of Gramercy, NoMad, and the Flatiron District. It is surrounded by popular restaurants and nightlife, and a short walk from Madison Square Park, expanded transportation options, and some of the best restaurants in the world.
