Marketing has started for 40 condominium apartments on the top six floors of the 12-story building under construction at 2300 Frederick Douglass Boulevard on the southeast corner at 124th Street in Harlem.

The apartments, known as the Apex Condominiums, will be atop the six-story, 124-room Starwood Aloft Hotel that is expected to open next month.

The apartments range in size from studios to three-bedroom units and in price from the mid-$300,000s to just over $1 million, according to the owner/developer, RCG Longview, uptownflavor.com reported today.

H. Thomas O'Hara is the architect of the building.

The apartments will have a separate lobby, attended 24 hours a day, a rooftop terrace, private storage and will share some amenities with the hotel such as a fitness center and on-site parking.

Many apartments will have floor-to-ceiling windows and all will have Bosch washers and dryers and Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances.
