Description

Crowning Soho's iconic Puck Building, the Puck Penthouses masterfully combine the ideal layouts and proportions of the finest prewar homes with the dramatic scale and charm of loft living. Spanning two floors and 5,672 square feet, Penthouse V features four bedrooms and six and one half bathrooms. A dramatic entry gallery with a stunning honeycomb-patterned Venatino Giola gray and Bardiglio white marble floor welcomes you home, and a stately double-sided gas fireplace with a Quebec Noir marble surround serves as a natural partition between the entry gallery and the voluminous great room.

The great room, at nearly 1,000 square feet, is flooded with natural light from a row of over-sized west-facing loft windows- and features a barrel vaulted brick ceiling punctuated by original cast iron beams and columns. Adjacent to the formal dining room there is an exceptional custom kitchen with furniture-grade European white oak cabinetry in a mink finish. Complementing the hand-poured and radiant-heated Terrazzo floors are Italian lava stone countertops with a cracked ceramic glaze.

The 59" La Cornue stainless steel and brass range serves as a focal point in the kitchen and is accompanied by the exclusive, professional grade PRO 48 Sub-Zero refrigerator. There is also a Wolf oven and a built-in coffee machine. Additional rooms on the main level include a fourth bedroom suite that seamlessly doubles as a study, a private media room/-gym, and a complete service suite immediately off of the kitchen.

A sweeping staircase with oil-rubbed bronze balusters and European white oak banister, treads, and risers, provides access to the bedroom suites on the second floor. A private interior elevator that services the two floors ensures easy living.

The luxurious master suite offers a gracious sitting room with a gas fireplace, dual dressing rooms, and two spa-like master bathrooms outfitted in Arabescatto Oro marble, honed Stormy Gray travertine, custom vanities, polished nickel Waterworks fixtures, radiant heated floors, as well as 19" hidden mirror televisions integrated within the medicine cabinets.

The larger of the two bathrooms features an Urban Archeology freestanding Mercer tub. Beautifully appointed and generously proportioned secondary bedrooms feature oversized closets and en suite bathrooms adorned with honed Igia Venetino marble, radiant heated floors, and custom wood vanities with marble countertops and polished nickel Lefroy Brooks fittings.

Every detail in this home has been meticulously considered and executed, from the selection of custom finishes, to the custom eight-foot-tall European white oak or glass and nickel doors with handmade H. Theophile hardware.

There are solid rift-cut white oak 6"-wide plank floors, and Saint-Damase custom millwork and moldings throughout. Every modern convenience has been seamlessly integrated, including double-panel UV-resistant glass windows and a state-of-the-art home automation system with a central control room.

Designed by Albert Wagner and built in 1885 as a printing facility for the J.

Ottmann Lithographic Company, The Puck Building showcases two gilded statues by sculptor Henry Baerer of Shakespeare's character Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was also the longtime home of Puck Magazine, the first successful humor magazine in the United States (1887-1918) offering caricatures and political satire of the day. The Puck Penthouses, completed in 2014, are a collection of six exclusive residences designed by architect Jose Ramirez.

Amenities include a 24 hour doorman/ concierge, and easy access to Chef's Club, located in the Mulberry street side of the building.
