An offering plan has been submitted to the New York State Attorney General's Office for Ariel East, a 37-story residential condominium tower at 2628 Broadway between 99th and 100th Streets.

It is one of two developments by Extell Development Corporation advancing in this Upper West Side neighborhood. The Ariel West project, which includes the address 2633 Broadway. is planned as a 32-story, 73-unit tower designed by Cook + Fox and it replaced a Gristede's store, which collapsed July 14 during demolition.

Last month the city's Department of Buildings said that Extell could resume construction work on both projects. Excavation work is proceeding on both projects, which will contain 2- to 4-bedroom apartments and are expected to be completed in July, 2007.

Ariel East is a 37-story tower designed by Cetra/Ruddy that is planned to have about 64 apartments. Ariel East is adjacent to the Art Deco-style Metro Theater. The project involved the acquisition of about 70,000 square feet of air rights from St. Michael's Episcopal Church at 225 West 99th Street.

According to the submitted offering plan submitted last month, Ariel East has an offering price of $152,055,000 and is expected to be completed in late 2007. It is planned to have a children's room, a virtual golf room, and a screening room.

A four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath apartment on the 28th floor with 2,726 square feet is priced at $3,595,000. A four-bedroom, 3 ? bath penthouse with 4,130 square feet of interior space and 88 square feet of exterior space is priced at $6,750,000.

The building will have no balconies but terraces on the 8th, 16th, 21st, 27th. 33rd and 36th floors. The building will be 397 feet 11 ? inches tall. The third floor of the former building at 2628 housed the Manhattan Table Tennis club.

Extell is also developing the Orion at 350 West 42nd Street and the former Stanhope Hotel at 985 Fifth Avenue. Gary Barnett, a principal of Extell, was a principal in the recent purchase of a large property at the southern end of Riverside South, the huge development by Donald Trump.
