Grand Madison: About the Building

"Great building!"

"This building is creme de la creme with hi-end finishes and Viking appliances in apartments. The lobby is a glorious large marble lobby. This is one of the only condos on lower Fifth Avenue."

"The Grand Madison, built in 1906, was recently converted to condominiums and is located directly on Madison Square Park at the corner of Fifth Avenue. The building is an architectural masterpiece, which has lovingly been restored to provide all of the grandeur of a pre-war building. Full-time doorman and gym area."

"Totally gut renovated health club. Amenities and lobby are well done."

"The Grand Madison is a conversion from a pre-war office building to a full service, luxury condominium building. The only amenities offered are a full time doorman, concierge, and fitness center."

"Lovely loft-style homes with a contemporary pre-war feel in a central Flatiron location."

"No view from many of the apartment lines in the building, plus a sense of poor construction quality. Also very few amenities."

"Beautiful lobby, full-time doorman, pre-war architecture mixed with modern dcor."

"Roof deck, inner courtyard. Pre-war architecture with functional layouts, top-of-the-line fit and finishes. Developer is Elad, known for their high-end work including the Plaza hotel."

Grand Madison: About the Apartments

"The courtyard terrace apartments make you feel like you are in Paris! High ceilings, loft-like feel, great views of Madison Avenue Park. The quality and look of the kitchen and bath fixtures is top notch. Large apartments with large windows."

"Top of the line building. Extremely large apartments with 10-foot ceilings and very large rooms. The beautifully appointed open kitchen is a chef's dream. Fabulous for entertaining. Bathrooms are finished with a striking white marble. The master bathroom has a large soaking bathtub as well as its own stand alone shower."

"Lower floor apartments are a little dark. Stainless steal kitchen and high quality fixtures in bathrooms."

"High ceilings are not enough for some apartments, they are on the dark side as far as getting sunlight. One-bedrooms have additional office area that can be used as a second bedroom."

"The apartments at The Grand Madison are all exceptionally spacious, lofty, and contemporary, but with a pre-war feel. The ceiling heights are approximately 10-feet. The fixture and finish quality is in between low and high end, nothing special."

"All of the apartment layouts at The Grand Madison are oversized and lofty. The J, K, L, and M lines are the largest layouts in the building and offer the best views overlooking Madison Square Park and the Flatiron building. All other units overlook either Fifth Avenue, 27th Street, or the interior courtyard which has a basic view with good light."

"High ceilings, loft-style apartments. Dark finished kitchens open into great room. Many units come with home offices or outdoor space into the private courtyard."

"Killer views on the park."

"Nice, spacious layout! The building is a "gut renovated" pre-war building, so you get high ceilings, but with modern plumbing and electric. Some of the apartments face an "inner courtyard" which is great! The apartments have plumbing for a washer and dryer (not included in the apartment purchase)."
