Dag Hammarskjold Tower: About the Apartments

"The building was built as a condominium in 1983 and was the height of luxury for that time. As such, the apartments are oversized and the amenities in the building are superior. In that it was built 25 years ago, there are apartments coming to market, which are in original condition which creates a large discrepancy in the pricing compared to those which have been more recently updated."

"Eastern apartments view the east river and Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. A tree-lined colonnade stretches from Second Avenue to First Avenue culminating at the east river. All apartments are very spacious and there are a variety combinations. The typical 2-bedroom unit is approximately 1,400 square-feet with 2.5 baths and walk-in closets. The units facing south and west staring on the mid to high floors have spectacular skyline views. Lower floor apartments view gardens and the Dag Plaza Park."

"Building built in 1980s, top-top quality for United Nations community and others. Building runs north to south from 46th to 47th, along Second Avenue. Views 3 sides. Originally built with hi-floor views facing west also, but Tower at Kips Bay now partially blocks some of those. Garage in building."

"Free standing tower with 6 units on floors 2-11; 5 units on floors 12-42. Sky lounge and health facilities on 43rd floor. All apartments have nice views, some with river views and others face the Chrysler building."
