Saga House CLOSE
This handsome, 11-story, mid-block apartment building was erected in 1985. It is a condominium and has 23 apartments.
Saga House has many very nice curved metal window grills and many rounded balconies with metal railings that together with the soft red brick of the fa??ade give the building an appealing and robust appearance that contributes nicely to this pleasant sidestreet. The building, which has some corner windows and tall ceilings, is set back in a small plaza with sidewalk landscaping although the balconies extend outwards to the building line. It has a canopied entrance with a revolving door and a concierge and a doorman, but no garage.
This is a quiet street in an excellent Upper East Side location that is close to Lenox Hill Hospital and convenient to many restaurants and boutiques. A subway station is three blocks to the north and good cross-town bus service is two blocks to the south.
