Review of 16 Sutton Place by Carter Horsley

This pleasant, 20-story, red-brick apartment building at 16 Sutton Place on the southwest corner at 58th Street was erected in 1967 and designed by Kokkins & Lyras.

It has 54 cooperative apartments.

It overlooks the townhouses on the east side of Sutton Place between 57th and 58th streets and the East River.

The building has a canopied entrance, a doorman, an elevator operator, sidewalk landscaping, a garden, discrete air-conditioners, and a roof deck. It has a one-story stone base and a few terraces but no balconies.

There is cross-town bus service on 57th Street and there are two small parks nearby.

The building is also known as 448-464 East 58th Street.
