Angled buildings are relatively rare in Manhattan and this one has one of its facades angled to provide broader views of the great Queensborough Bridge that crosses the East River at 59th Street.

The views are not unobstructed as they are some tall towers just to the south of the bridge to the east, but the angled views greatly expanded the vistas from many apartments in this 25-story building.

This medium-size, asymmetrical, rental apartment tower is set back on a two-story base at the corner and is also setback in a plaza along the avenue.

It is distinguished by its two columns of attractive balconies, one group of which is five-sided and the other is six-sided. The larger balconies are at the building's corner at the intersection and the other are on its east facade.

The building has only two apartments per floor, a doorman, and a concierge.

There is considerable traffic in this neighborhood, which is one long block away from Sutton Place where they are some small parks.

There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity and there is good cross-town bus service on 57t" Street but subways are several blocks away.

The building is known as The Morrison and was erected in 1983. It has 50 apartments and its addresses are 360 East 57th Street and 1033 First Avenue.
