The Fitzgerald, 201 West 74th Street: Review and Ratings

between Amsterdam Avenue & Broadway View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 201 West 74th Street by Carter Horsley

This very attractive, 16-story, pre-war apartment building is one of the more attractive structures on Amsterdam Avenue.

It has a three-story stone base and a pleasant and pronounced decorative trim window treatment on the fourth floor.

Built in 1920, it was converted to a condominium in 1985 and has 92 apartments.

Centrally located on the Upper West Side, it is not far from the express subway station at 72nd Street and Broadway and only two long blocks from Central Park. The area has many restaurants and good neighborhood shops.

The rather stately and elegant building has a doorman and good-sized apartments.
