Carter Horsley's Review of The Orleans

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"This very handsome, 1898 apartment building which is known as the Orleans at 100 West 80th Street on the southwest corner at Columbus Avenue was converted to condominiums in 2014 by David Sterling and Nora Lavori, residents in the building.

The 10-story building originally was a hotel designed by Buchman & Deisler for Isaac A. Hopper and Mark Rafalsky.  It was sold in 1938 to Frank V. Storrs and Associates, which planned to refurbish the 140 room hotel that had seven stores.  It was the first sale of the property since Dr. James Clarke acquired it about 1908 who had decorated its hotel rooms with antiques."
