Review of 160 East 88th Street by Carter Horsley

This 15-story, white-brick apartment building at 160 East 88th Street has 143 rental apartments.

The post-war building, which also has an address of 1303-1309 Lexington Avenue, is across Lexington Avenue from the attractive Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and is across from the very fine pre-war apartment building at 141 East 88th Street. It is also adjacent to the excellent Likitsakos food market and two blocks north of a subway station and excellent cross-town bus service.

The building has a doorman, a one-step up entrance, and sidewalk landscaping. There is a laundry facility on every floor. It permits protruding air-condioners and has no garage and no roof deck and permits no pets.

It is convenient to many schools in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood and many restaurants and stores in the Yorkville neighborhood.
