Sarandon wraps up another apartment; Rossellini relocates; Seinfeld looks to the east

Upper West Side poster boy Jerry Seinfeld might be heading east. The iconic/neurotic comedian—who currently calls the Beresford on Central Park West home—was spotted touring a few places on the Upper East Side, including a $26 million townhouse at 1 East 94th Street and a slightly lower-priced ($23 million) five-and-a-half story townhouse at 26 East 73rd Street (via CurbedNY).

In addition to scoring ownership of the vast Chelsea loft she shared with ex Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon just paid $1.7 million for a pre-war penthouse at 69 West 9th Street with a large, private, landscaped wraparound terrace and equally-wraparound city views. There’s no word on whether she’s bailing on the 7,000 square foot loft (NY Observer).

Isabella Rosselliini—that New York celebrity-watcher’s bread and butter, the quintessential normal-looking–yet-gorgeous lady at the next table—has reporteldy removed herself from the city’s landscape of luminaries. La bella Isabella just sold her Upper East Side townhouse—an 1,800 square foot, three-bedroom condo at 30 East 86th Street—for $3.5 million. According to city records, Ms. Rossellini’s current residence is in Bellport, LI (NY Observer).

Jim Carrey just upped the ante to secure an apartment at one of the Richard Meier-designed towers at 176 Perry Street. Carrey, who began renting in the starchitect showcase tower while filming “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” had his bid on a full-floor condo rejected, came back with a higher offer for the unit (which wasn’t even on the market), and may now be closer to closing (NYPost).
