Carrey-ing on in Chelsea; A Golden Girl’s goods a good buy for fans; Courtney gets no love from landlord. NYC apartment celebrities.

Jim Carrey continues his hunt for his NYC apartment, which recently included a $13.65 million townhouse at 233 West 20th Street. The 7,000 square-foot 1824 Chelsea townhouse boasts six bedrooms and two chef’s kitchens, which would give Mr. Popper enough room for his penguins and then some (NYPost).

Golden Girl Rue McClanahan passed away last year, and she specified that her fans should get first dibs on her possessions including many of her costumes and the contents of her co-op apartment at 430 East 56th Street. The Blanche Devereaux memorabilia auctions will be held in a few locations throughout the country in the coming months (via Gothamist).

Riot grrl icon Courtney Love’s landlord has gone to court to evict the grunge rock royal from her West Village townhouse at 250 West 10th Street. Ms. Love allegedly made some unapproved alterations to the $27k-a-month apartment, including papering and painting over the owner’s designer décor. She’s also behind in rent payments (NYPost).
