This 15-story, mid-block development in Chelsea at 21 West 20th Street will have three, 100-foot-wide penthouses and 9 smaller full-floor units. One of the penthouses has a terrace with a hot tub.

The developers are Gale International, of which Stan Gale Jr., is a principal, and Meecorp Capital Markets LLC., of which Daniel Edrei is a director.

Beyer Blinder Belle are the architects and MR Architecture + Design designed the interiors.

The building has 12 condominium apartments.


 

Bottom Line

A 12-unit, new construction condo with 9 relatively narrow full-floor apartments and four, 100-foot-wide penthouses that straddle the top of an adjacent landmark building in Chelsea that is close to Madison Square Park.


 

Description

This mid-block building has full-floor apartments on its site but the top spills over onto the adjacent landmark garage building to create 100-foot-wide, set-back penthouses, one of which is a triplex.


 

Amenities

The building will have a full-time concierge, a private lounge with kitchenette off an outdoor garden, refrigerated storage for deliveries, a pet wash station in the residents’ common room and storage units for purchase.

The building has a key-lock elevator.

Penthouse 1 is a four-bedroom unit on the 11th floor with 4,841 square feet of interior space and 541 square feet of terraces. The four-bedroom unit has a 32-footlong living/dining room with a 26-foot-terrace, a 19-foot-wide kitchen with an island and an 8-foot-long pantry with sliding pocket doors to a 16-footwlong media room.  The unit also has an 8-foot-wide office and a 25-foot-long master bedroom with a kitchenette and a 27-foot-long terrace.

The full-floor-apartments on the second through the tenth floors have two bedrooms with a 1,302 square feet of interior space.  Kitchens have Olive Marone marble countertops with white oak cabinetry, stainless-steel backsplash and Miele appliances and hot/cold purified water dispenser and garbage dispenser, master baths have Zuma soaking tubs, Corian Glacier White slab vanity counters and wall-mounted Toto toilets with limestone floors and walls. Living/dining/kitchen rooms are 23 feet long with an open kitchen with an island arrangement.
