Review of 108 West 15th Street by Carter Horsley

One of Manhattan's rare "gated" apartment buildings, this 6-story, red-brick rental building at 108 West 15th Street is known as Stonehenge Gardens.

It was built in 1950 and has 55 apartments with a large front yard behind its narrow but very charming gate on 15th Street that is similar to the famous one at Grove Court a few blocks south in Greenwich Village. The building is also known as 103-109 West 14th Street.

It has a prime location in lower Chelsea and is very convenient to Greenwich Village and very good public transportation. It is close to many restaurants and the excellent shopping along nearby Ladies' Mile on the Avenue of the Americas.

The building is pet-friendly, granite kitchen countertops, marble bathrooms, hardwood floors, and a laundry room.

The building is owned by Stonehenge Partners Inc., which is headed by Ofer Yardeni and Joel Seiden, whose Manhattan properties include 20 and 41 Park Avenue, 10 Downing Street, The Olivia on West 33rd Street and the Ritz Plaza at 235 West 48th Street.
