Carter Horsley's Review of 130 East 17th Street

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"This post-war, white-brick apartment building on the southeast corner at Irving Place is located across 17th Street from historic Pete's Tavern and is a few very pleasant blocks south of Gramercy Park, a block away from Union Square to the east and three blocks north of the impressive landmark headquarters of Con Edison. The building contains 283 cooperative apartments and has a very impressive lobby and a nice canopied entrance on the sidestreet. The building is set back slightly behind a low wall on Irving Place. There is good crosstown bus service on the heavily trafficked 14th Street, where there are also express subway stations. A popular farmers' market is located on weekends at the north end of Union Square, where there is a large Barnes & Noble bookstore. A large cineplex is nearby as are many of the city's trendiest restaurants." Read Carter's Full Review
