Carter Horsley
Review of 101 West 12th Street by Carter Horsley

This 21-story, 404-unit, white-brick apartment building was built in 1963 and converted to a cooperative in 1980.It occupies the entire west blockfront on the Avenue of The Americas from 12th to 13th Streets in the heart of the most desirable residential area of Greenwich Village. All the charm of Greenwich Village is close at hand: the Jefferson and Balducci food stores, the real Ray's Pizza, PS 41, one of the best public schools in the city, elegant nightclubs a block away on 13th Street, the great Jefferson Market Courthouse Library is two blocks south and the finest blocks in the village are across the avenue.
