Review of 150 East 61st Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, white-brick, 16-story apartment building was erected in 1960. It is a cooperative and has 131 apartments.

The building has a very handsome polished red granite, one-story base with horizontal white marble accents. It has a doorman, a garage, some terraces, a canopied entrance, sidewalk landscaping, basement storage and some protruding air-conditioners.

This bustling neighborhood is very convenient to midtown, many restaurants and boutiques. Bloomingdale's is one block south and some of the city's prettiest sidestreets are in this area. There is an express subway station at 60th Street and crosstown bus service on 57th Street.
