About Plymouth Tower, 340 East 93rd Street
This 30-story, brown brick apartment tower in the northeast corner of the Upper East Side has good views in many directions as much of the neighboring community still has many low-rise buildings but an increasing number of high-rise structures to add visual interest.
Close to the East River and the entrance to the FDR Drive, the building is three blocks away from cross-town bus service on 96th Street where there is also a Lexington Avenue IRT subway station.
This area, which is to the east of Carnegie Hill, has many restaurants and lively nightlife, especially on Second Avenue.
The 356-unit building was erected in 1977 and converted to a cooperative in 1986.
