Review of 545 West 34th Street by Carter Horsley

This nicely detailed, loft building was converted from commercial use to rental apartments in 1998 by Sasson LLC.

The six-story, red-brick building, which is called Infinity Court, has 25 large units, all with high ceilings and exposed brick walls.

Some of the apartments have skylights.

The building, which is located at 545 West 34th Street and is also known as 527 West 33rd Street, has a doorman, a sundeck, a private garden, video security and it permits pets.

The building has attractive spandrels and other decorative elements and an interesting roofline.

It is not far from the Javits Convention Center to the north and west and the Hudson River and the Penn Station/Madison Square Garden complex to the east and south.

There is good crosstown bus service on 34th Street.

Although the Garment Center and Herald Square to the east and the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel to the north have heavy traffic, this section of 34th Street is relatively quiet.

The renaissance of the Chelsea District to the south has brought many new restaurants and art galleries to the vicinity and there are major plans to eventually develop the rail yards just to the south.
