The Westport is an attractive, red-brick rental apartment building at 500 West 56th Street that was erected by The Related Companies in 2003. 

It has 371 units. 

The 24-story building was designed by Costas Kondylis and is also known as 831 Tenth Avenue and 501 West 55th Street. 

The Rockwell Group was the interior designer. 

Bottom Line

A large, red-brick building one block south of the West 57th Street corridor between Tenth and Eleventh avenues that is not far from the Theater District and Columbus Circle and Central Park.

Description

The red-brick building has an entrance marquee and white stone accents and a paneled lobby. 

The first setback of the building has some corner windows.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck, a barbecue patio, a fitness center, a half-court basketball court, a game room and an "internet cafe." 

It has 24-hour concierge service and floor-to-ceiling windows and valet parking.

 Apartments have washers and dryers and carpeted bedrooms. 

Kitchens have granite countertops and wood cabinetry with glass accents.
