This attractive pre-war apartment building at 545 West 111th Street was erected in 1909 and has 132 cooperative apartments.

The 10-story building occupies the northeast corner at Broadway.

The building has a two-story rusticated limestone base and a canopied entrance with a big elegant lobby with a large clock over the elevators.

The building has two very deep lightcourts on 111th Street and the one over the one-step-up entrance has many fire-escapes.

The second floor floor is distinguished by very prominent and deep brackets supporting balustrades.

The buiding has a full-time doorman, a resident superintendent, a bicycle room, storage rooms, a roof deck, a large laundry room.

It was built by the Blum brothers and was converted to a co-operative in 1987.
