Down on the Farm on the Upper East Side
The Art Farm in the City offers unique ways for urban kids to have fun and get creative on a 1,000 square foot farm without ever leaving the Upper East Side (Unless you visit the Hamptons outpost.). In addition to learning about and cuddling the bunnies, chinchillas, reptiles and other critters, kids get to explore their creativity with simple cooking and baking, arts and crafts, music and more. Two-hour birthday party packages can be scheduled, there are summer camp sessions available for kids ages three to six, a play group for tots, a two-day preschool program, Mommy & Me days, a surfing camp for teens and more. Your child can even choose a pet to visit and care for (yes, the pet stays at the farm.). The Art Farm also participates in programs like pre-school sponsorships for kids in Thailand. Drop by the Open House to check it out (but don’t blame us if the little ones don’t want to leave).
