Pricey apartment listings by Oprah and others. . .NYC condos, celebrities living in NYC

The alleged Oprah’s-BFF-Gayle-King-apartment-for-sale is actually the alleged Oprah Winfrey apartment. The chat show diva is reportedly the owner of a 2,530 square-foot penthouse apartment (purchased under an LLC named for her dog) at the Place 57 condominium at 207 East 57th Street, now on the market for $7.9 million (The Real Deal).

Noted architect Winka Dubbeldam recently put her apartment at The Greenwich Street Project at 497 Greenwich Street—the building she designed--up for sale. The $2.35 million ask gets you a two-bedroom, 1,661 square-foot apartment with high ceilings and an open layout in the 11-story doorman condo. It also gets you a gym, screening room, wine cellar, pool, Zen garden and guest-suite duplex (NYPost).

Celebrity restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow (Asia de Cuba, China Grill) has brought his Trump Tower apartment back to the table with a 15 percent price hike. The 3,700-square-foot combo condo at 721 Fifth Avenue made from three apartments was listed last April for $16.4 million, but now it’s $18.8 million. The top chef bought all three units for $5.4 million in 2004, and the combined apartment is now the building’s priciest unit. It overlooks Central Park and boasts a chef’s kitchen, of course (The Real Deal).

Map of the stars--A New York City map that’s making the rounds shows you which big stars–like Julia Roberts (Greenwich Village), Jon Stewart (SoHo), Dakota Fanning (Nolita) and more–live in your neighborhood and where your best chance at celeb-stalkingspotting might be (via Gothamist).
