SOHO Apts & Neighborhood Information

Most of SoHo (the area SOuth of HOuston street) is part of the landmarked Cast Iron Historic District, a preserve of ornate cast iron facades and cobble stone streets formerly home to 19th & 20th century light manufacturing. Reclaimed as loft living spaces by artists in the 1970s, SoHo now boasts some of the most desirable living quarters in the city. Apartments in the neighborhood are among Manhattan’s largest and many still house artists, photographers and designers who often work where they live.

The neighborhood is central and adjacent to the equally-sought-after neighborhoods of TriBeCa to the south, Greenwich Village to its north above Houston Street and NoLIta east of its Broadway boundary.
