Review of 1 North 4th Place by Carter Horsley

The 40-story rental tower at 1 North Fourth Street on the waterfront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn was topped out at the end of 2014.

When it opens, it will have 510 apartments.

Douglaston Development, of which Jeffrey E. Levine is a principal, is erecting the tower.

FXFowle is the architect.

It is on a peninsula that had been the planned site of a third condominium tower for the Northside Piers project of Toll Brothers, RD Management and L + M Development Partners, but after condo sales in the area slackened, Douglaston took over the site for a rental.

Douglaston is also building the final stage of its “Edge” development just to the north.
