69 Berry Street: Review and Ratings

between North 10th Street & North 9th Street View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 69 Berry Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 6-story residential condominium at 69 Berry Street, which is also known as 128 North 10th Street, is smaller but quite similar to the 7-story residential condominium across the street at 70 Berry Street that is known as the Allan Building.

Both are distinguished by large, inset windows and reddish-brown masonry piers.

They were designed by Armand S. Quadrini of KSQ Architects PC of White Plains, N.Y., for EssexBerrySt LLC/EssexBrooklynLLC of which Mitchell B. Rutter is a principal.

It received its building permit in April, 2010.

Located just a block away from Bedford Avenue, it is three blocks to the west of the East River State Park and two blocks south of McCarren Park.

This building has only 6 apartments and each has direct elevator access. The one-bedroom units have two bathrooms and about 1,000 square feet of space.
