The building has a one-story polished gray granite base and a stainless steel marquee. It has a doorman, consistent fenestration, a garage, protruding air-conditioners, sidewalk landscaping and balconies. It is just to the east of St. Monica's Catholic Church.

There are good cross-town bus service on 79th Street where there is also a downtown entrance to the FDR Drive along the East River. There are several good private schools in the area and the John Jay Park is not too far away on 78th Street and the East River.
