Carter's Review

This handsome, Italian Renaissance-palazzo-style building is one of the most attractive on this pleasant block.

The rental apartment building has a one-story limestone base, a canopied entrance, impressive balconies on the 6th and 13th floors, very handsome roundels above the second and 13th floors, a large decorative element in the center of its roofline, and rope twist columns between the third and fourth floors and the 13th through the 15th floors.

The building has protruding air-conditioners, no garage and no sidewalk landscaping.

It is on a very pleasant block, a short walk from Central Park and a subway station. There is excellent cross-town bus service on this street and many attractive sidewalk caf¿s on Columbus Avenue just to the south.
