This attractive, 15-story, mid-block apartment building at 155 West 21st Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in Chelsea is known as Casa and has 109 rental units.

It was erected in 2014 by Arlou Parking Corporation and designed by the Stephen B. Jacobs Group, which also did the adjacent apartment building at 151 West 21st Street that is notable for its lacy base and deep blue brise soleils.

Bottom Line

A pleasant mid-block location in Chelsea that is convenient to the area’s impressive retailing, transportation and restaurants.

Description

The light-red brick building has a symmetrical setback façade, a double-height lobby with black flamed granite flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and some balconies.

Amenities

The building has a garage, a roof deck, a fitness center, a live-in superintendent, a 24/7 concierge, and valet services.

Apartments

Apartments have washers and dryers, stainless steel kitchen appliances, black honed granite kitchen countertops and Manitoba maple kitchen cabinetry, and marble baths.

The penthouse has four bedrooms with 3,110 square feet of interior space and 1,574 square feet of outdoor space.  It has a 54-foot-long living with an open kitchen with an island and two 16-foot-wide balconies and it flows into a 13-foot-long study. There are four bedrooms and two of them have 19-foot-wide balconies.  The upper level has a small solarium and two 40-foot-long terraces.

Apartment H on the 3rd through the 11th floors is a one-bedroom unit with a 17-foot-long living room and a 10-foot-long, windowed, entry foyer.  The initial rent for the 6th floor unit is $5,595.

Apartment F on the 3rd through the 11th floors is a one-bedroom unit with an 18-foot-long living room and a pass-through kitchen.  The initial rent for the 9th floor unit is $4,375.

Apartment A on the 3rd through the 11th floors is a one-bedroom unit with a 20-foot-long living and a pass-through kitchen. The initial rent for the 10th  floor unit is $4,475.
